Can we meet? Of course we can, we love to meet our clients and it is our pleasure to meet you and answer any questions you may have. We can meet in a location that is convenient for you, and share a cup of coffee. Feel free to contact us to schedule a meeting. Our consultations are free and you are under no obligation to book us.
How do I book you? Just give us a call or send us an e-mail. We allow 2 hours for portrait or family session so you don’t feel rushed and we can take our time and relax. Most of time we are finished within an hour but this way we can take our time, let you relax and really get the shots you want.
We require $25.00 retainer to book sessions and a $200.00 retainer to secure your wedding date.
When should I book my Session or Wedding? We take all bookings on a first come first serve basis, so we recommend booking your session with us as soon as possible. We generally book 2-6 weeks ahead and don’t want you to be disappointed. A $25.00 non-refundable retainer is required for booking sessions.
Most weddings are booked 6-9 months in advance while some are booked over a year in advance. A $200.00 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your wedding date.
Where should I have my photos taken? Do you have a favorite spot you like to go with your family? Maybe you want your engagement photos taken in the spot where He proposed? Do you have a great garden and beautiful yard? These would be great. If you can’t think of a location we are happy to help. We have several locations in Renfrew County that are beautiful for photos. Would you like a farm setting or waterfront? What about a park? We also have several private locations available to us. Whatever you want we will help you find!
Where can we see your work? We host all our work in our on-line galleries. Just click the “Client Galleries” tab and have a look. We like to show you all of our work not just a select few images so you can see what your experience will be like. We highlight a select few images on our slide show and around our site but by showing our entire galleries you get a better idea of what is included in your session, or wedding package.
We are booked for a session! Now what? Once you have booked a portrait or family session we will set up a date and time that is convenient for you. For outdoor sessions the best times are earlier in the day or later in the afternoon. For photographers we call this the golden hour. This is when the lighting is best and most flattering.
We just booked you for our wedding, now what? Once you have signed the contract and we receive your retainer your day is officially booked, and we are excited and honoured that you have chosen us to share your special day! Now we will schedule your engagement session which is included free with every wedding package.
We don’t want engagement photos do we get a discount? Unfortunately no, we include the engagement session for free because it gives us a chance to work together before your big day. You get the chance to practice posing and we can get to know each other a little before the big day. This will make you more relaxed on the day as we are a little more familiar with each other. This also gives you a more relaxed session to tell us what you are comfortable with or not willing to do without all your guests around.
Your engagement session will also give you some great photographs to display at your wedding or use for your “Save the Date” or invitations. We can also create a custom guest book using your engagement photos. See a guest book sample by clicking here.
How long is an engagement session? An engagement session works the same as a portrait or family session. We will schedule a session at a location and at a time that works for you. The session takes about 1-2 hours, and your images will be ready for viewing in about 2 weeks.
How long until we can see our photos? For family or individual session please allow approximately 2 weeks for editing. Weddings can take 2-6 weeks depending on the size of your wedding package. The longer we are with you on your day the longer it will take us to edit, but we will explain this at our consultation. Remember we offer free no obligation consultations.
We do not sub-contract our editing to an outside service. We do all our own editing.
How do we get to see our final images? Once we are finished editing, we will send you an e-mail with a link to your on-line gallery. You can view all your images before deciding which prints or products you want to purchase. We allow you to choose your favorite images. Wedding clients will also be sent an e-mail when your gallery is ready for viewing. Once you have taken a look and are happy with the images, we will prepare your High Resolution DVD or your PASS gallery.
Our on-line gallery allows you to share you images on a variety of different social media sites if you wish. Just click on one of the links above the image or gallery and share your images anyway you choose.
We are currently working with a new program called PASS, PASS will allow our clients to view, share and download their images immediately. PASS will also allow you to view your images on your smart phone, tablet, or computer. Please stay tuned for updates as we are excited and working hard to bring this new digital format to our clients. Can a Bride and Groom both have photography coverage at different locations? Yes, of course you can, all our packages include two (2) photographers. Having two photographers at each wedding day location will ensure we don’t miss a moment of your special day! Please Note: that with Bridal portraits and Grooms portraits at separate locations; one photographer will be at each location, unless time allows both photographers to visit both locations.
How many prints are included? We do not include prints with our packages. Everyone is different and we like to let our clients decide what prints and products are best for them. We do have print packages available as well as a la carte items. We also offer a wide selection of albums and products. We are happy to schedule an appointment to help you decide what items are best for you. When you purchase the DVD you can print wherever and whenever you’d like. We cannot guarantee the quality of prints that we do not order as our monitors are calibrated and we use professional labs for our printing. We are happy to give you a few suggestions on where to have your images printed.
Can I get all the RAW files? Unfortunately, no we do not release any RAW or unedited images. We only release the edited final photos. Here is the best way I have ever heard it described; a musician doesn’t add the tracks that didn’t make to cut to their CD’s right, photographers images are the same.
What payment options do you have? We accept cash, cheques, Visa and Master Card. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% convenience fee. We are happy to offer payment plans for wedding packages, we understand weddings are expensive and there are a lot of vendors to pay for. We can help make it less stressful and are happy to set up a payment plan that works best for you.
What happens to our deposit if we cancel or change our wedding date? Unfortunately, the retainer is non-refundable as noted in your wedding contract. However, we do honour your deposit if you are changing your date. (Subject to availability) Other payments refunds are subject to the terms set out in the wedding contract please contact us.

Yes, we will visit each venue and location you have chosen approximately 2-4 weeks prior to your wedding to ensure all venue rules are followed and we are familiar with the venue. Some churches and venues do not allow flash photography, and limit where photographers may stand or set up, it is our job to find this out so there are no surprises on your special day and to ensure you get the best wedding coverage possible. The coverage offered in each package is subject to venue restrictions. You are welcome to join us if you wish.
We will also attend your wedding rehearsal so we know just what to expect on your special day.

What Should I Wear?
This is a commonly asked question; you want to look your best for your photographs, Here are a few tips to help you look your very best!
Wear pants that hang long. It will make you look taller and more slender. Your pants will also look better if they start at your hip line.
Avoid shorts and capris pants; these make you look much shorter than you are.
Avoid prints or patterns. The prints and patterns that are considered very stylish today may be out of style in 6 months from now. By wearing solid colours you are less likely to look back on your photos and say “Why did I wear that?”
Blouses that end at the hip; this give a nice definition to your shape.
Men may tuck in there shirts but women should avoid blouses that tuck in.
Wear tightly woven garments. Sweaters and other loose knit fabrics will become see-through in flash lighting, which will show your under garments. This does not make for a flattering photograph.
Avoid dresses and blouses with high waist lines like the Empire style or tops and dresses with belts or gathers as they flair out.
Dresses should be a straight cut without a defined waistline to give you a slimmer look.
Try and avoid white, it can make your skin look pale and washed out.
